Welcome to ISFV21

Welcome to the 21st International Symposium on Flow Visualization (ISFV21) to be held in June, 2025 at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center in Tokyo, Japan. The 16th International Symposium on Particle Image Velocimetry (ISPIV2025) will be held consecutively to this conference.

The event is sponsored by the Visualization Society of Japan.

Scope of the conference

The International Symposium on Flow Visualization (ISFV) is a world unique forum focused on flow visualization. A wide variety of state-of-the-arts visualization techniques will be presented and discussed to enhance the Flow Visualization. Top Researchers around the world will come to Tokyo, Japan, to exchange the advanced and basic information on Flow Visualization, image processing and its application.

History

The International Symposium on Flow Visualization originated in Tokyo (Japan) in 1977 and continued in Bochum (Germany/1980), Ann Arbor (USA / 1983), Paris (France / 1986), Prague (Czechoslovakia / 1989), Yokohama (Japan / 1992), Seattle (USA / 1995), Sorrento (Italy / 1998), Edinburgh (UK / 2000), Kyoto (Japan / 2002), Notre Dame, (USA / 2004), Göttingen (Germany / 2006), Nice (France / 2008), Daegu (Korea / 2010), Minks (Belarus / 2012), Okinawa (Japan / 2014), Gatlinburg (USA / 2016), Zurich (Switzerland / 2018), Shanghai (China / 2021), and in Delft (Netherland / 2023).
